While these theories cannot claim certainty, they provide a framework for understanding the deeper currents of human linguistic evolution—how early human communities encoded environment, kinship, and ritual into sound and meaning, long before the first known words of the steppe.


The story of Proto-Indo-European becomes even richer when set against the tapestry of other language families.
